Lookie What I Made!

Our first family silhouette!

I managed to make my first silhouette out of a photo by using GIMP which is totally F-R-E-E and a lot like Photoshop!! It took me a little while to get the hang of it but I think my first try was a success! Let me know what you think!! You will probably be seeing a bunch more of these!

I call this one Granny Smith.

Really, the possibilities are endless! I will post a silhouette tutorial soon so check back often!!

EEK! If I could, I totally would!

Wear this dress to marry my sweety!
Tulle Era Dress
For the mere price of $2,600... which is almost our entire wedding budget.

Has anyone seen these a-maz-ing dresses from BHLDN??? They are so perfectly perfect in every way!
You must, must, must go check them out!
One of each? Yes please!

It's gonna be a Hoedown (repeat) Throwdown (repeat)!

Just thought I would share some images of the beautiful Harn Homestead where we will be hosting our nuptials in about 7 months! And although we may not be able to out do the Miley Cyrus rendition of the Hoedown Throwdown, I believe it will be super fabulously fun!

I'm thinking of having our wedding right below this beautiful tree!

The Most Perfect Rose-ie Wedding Cake!!

So, I'm browsing (the web) right along the other day and what do I come across??

DIY Rose Wedding Cake

A beautiful DIY wedding cake on ProjectWedding.com that was totally meant for our perfect day! I love it so much and even if we aren't going to make it ourselves (seeing as how we might be a little busy in the last few days before our wedding) it should still be something we can save quite a bit of money on! How perfectly sweet would this cake be sitting on a pink cake stand with tons of fluffy little cupcakes surrounding it? I think something like 'oops- I just jumped into Willy Wonka's chocolatey river' kind of sweet. Applause for the idyllic scene!

The Sweet Pitter Patter...

A new little one is on their way to us via my cousins Jess and Vince! YAY for babies!!!!! They already have a super adorably sweet 2 year old and she will now be a big sista! So I was thinking I really need to get a head start on my gift to the new sweet one (because we all know that I am a terrible procrastinator) especially with the little one's due date being right around our wedding! I'm feeling a little inspiration coming on but I may need some help... I really want to make something totally unusual and special.
So far Im really liking these:

I know... super sweet huh?

**Update: 2-14-2011**
I have found the need to edit this post and my thinking that "sweet ones" is not a term totally reserved for little baby girlies. So for the sweet baby boy-ies (that doesn't work as well huh?) I have found:

Little Button Loafers Sizes - Newborn, 3 Months, 6 Months and 9 months

Hee Hee! They're kinda grandpa-gone-baby, right? So cute! I love 'em! And I love little sweet baby boy-ies!

My name is Leanette and I'm a magazine-a-holic

So, I've been snowed in for two days...the first, 2/1/11, being my big 26th bday.

I have swept with a broom and a vaccuum, done every load of laundry I was able to find around the house, and even re-stuffed my duvet cover. I finally decided to tackle my multiple piles of magazines throughout the house. It's not something I'm proud of. I love magazines. I have tons...they give me inspiration for my someday projects and it is extremely difficult for me to part with them. I'm cursed. But it's time they stop taking up precious space in our *around* 900 sq. ft. of sweet bliss.

Please tell me I'm not the only one with this alternative, expensive addiction...
